[ARCHIVED] Stage 1 Drought Conditions Issued

Stage 1 Drought Contingency

As of Monday April 6th, the Brown County Water Improvement District  has issued Stage 1 Drought Contingency Conditions. This means that the lake has risen to 6 feet and 2 tenths below the spillway with the recent rainfall. This means we will be back in Stage 1 of our Drought Contingency Plan, and voluntary restrictions are now in place.

These voluntary restrictions are as follows:

  • Odd addresses - Mondays and Thursdays before 9AM or after 7PM
  • Even addresses - Tuesdays and Fridays before 9AM or after 7PM
  • No watering from 9AM to 7PM

This watering schedule applies to residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts.

See other water conservation tips here.

Together, we can continue to conserve water as we wait for more rain!
