Variances

Requirements

The following each require City Council approval:

• Annexation petitions - $75 fee
• Special use permits - $75 fee
• Variance requests - $75 fee
• Zoning changes

Special Use Permits

A special use permit requires approval of Planning and Zoning Commission. The request must be submitted to City Hall, along with drawings or plans of the proposed structure and placement on property, two weeks before the scheduled Planning and Zoning meeting. Variance Requests

A variance request must be submitted to City Hall, along with a drawing of the proposed structure and placement on property, two weeks before the scheduled City Council meeting. View Variance Request form.

Annexation Petitions

A request for annexing a property into the city limits requires a completed and notarized petition with a legal description of the property to be annexed as well as the plat or survey of the property’s location. All required documents must be submitted to City Hall two weeks prior to the scheduled City Council meeting. View Annexation Petition form.
