Officer Tasha Tobias – School Resource Officer, Early Police Department

School Resource Officer for the Early ISD Posted on February 14, 2025

Officer Tasha Tobias was born and raised in Brownwood, Texas, and is a graduate of Brownwood High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Following graduation, Officer Tobias dedicated over a decade (2008–2019) to the Brownwood Independent School District before transitioning to law enforcement. She completed her training at the West Central Texas Council of Governments Police Academy, graduating in August 2018, and joined the Early Police Department in October of the same year. In recognition of her continued professional development, she earned her Advanced Peace Officer License in October 2023.

Now in her second year as the School Resource Officer (SRO) for Early Independent School District (EISD), Officer Tobias plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of students and staff. Her responsibilities include conducting daily door checks, monitoring security systems, patrolling hallways, and fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and students. She serves as a Law Enforcement Officer, Educator, and Informal Counselor, offering support in both security matters and student well-being. No two days are the same—whether she is greeting students in the morning, assisting in classrooms, spending time with a student in crisis, or simply building rapport during lunch, her presence is a cornerstone of the EISD community.

Officer Tobias shares, “The students at Early ISD have my heart, and the employees of EISD have become another family for me to love. I have had nothing but amazing support from the Early community, and for that, I am grateful.”

Her dedication to service has been widely recognized—Officer Tobias has been named Early Chamber of Commerce Public Servant of the Year twice and has been voted Brown County’s Best Law Enforcement Officer three times. She also actively serves as the Vice Chair of The Ark Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Shelter board, where she has been a board member since March 2021.

Outside of her professional commitments, Officer Tobias cherishes time with her family and remains deeply engaged in serving the community she calls home.
