On Tuesday November, 10th, the Early City Council entered into an agreement with engineers to begin the reconstruction of Autumn Drive. Residents that reside on Autumn Drive have raised concern about the drainage, or lack thereof. The reconstruction of Autumn Drive would include not only a new street surface but a new drainage system as well.
“The street is relatively old; it was built without curbs and gutters. Drainage is not really optimal there and it has some isolated flooding on some properties there.” Said Tony Aaron, the Early City Administrator.
The engineering phase is expected to be completed by 2021 and the construction is expected to begin by the Summer of 2022.
“At this time, we don’t really have a construction estimate. We do expect it to be north of $250,000 but as the project is being engineered, we will know a lot more about that.” Said Tony.
