Boardwalk Sign in Early brings more Excitement to Project
EARLY, Texas — Dreams are starting to become a reality, and the boardwalk sign is the first step into that reality.
Businesses are thrilled to be part of this project, and the city is proud to see the progress being made.
"I really wanted to cry," said Early Tourism Director Denise Hudson-Brian. "When the pictures were first sent, it's just, you know, that's just another touch to show in that we're nearly here. It'll be two-sided, it'll look the same. except it at the bottom. The front side when you come in is going to say welcome, and, naturally, when you leave, it'll say, see you soon."
When the project is complete sometime this fall, there will be a grand reopening for the Town Center Park.
Even with that, people have still been walking on the trails nearby, seeing the progress.
"People send us texts all the time of them walking, and they have, you know, got to live the dream," said Hudson-Brian. "We open the walking trail, actually, before we were ready. We tell you all the time the park is still a work in progress. The community's got to be a part of it as they walk the trail every day and see all the changes and the growth and everything that's happening into it."
The top attraction, coming soon, is the rooftop restaurant, and the owner of the establishment is thrilled to have been approached to be a part of this project.
"My brother Kenny's idea," said the owner of the restaurant, Brent Hutchins. "He said, I don't want to be back there. I want to be right on the boardwalk. He goes, I want this right here and he pointed out the very lot that we are now purchasing and getting ready to start building on."
