"Taco Loco has been an exciting new adventure," shares the team behind the new taco shop. The inspiration came directly from local feedback, highlighting the need for more dining options in the eastern part of Early. "When proposing the idea, we had more feedback on needing something on the eastside of Early. So we thought, what better option than a taco shop?" they explained.
As soon as the project broke ground, word of mouth began to spread quickly. The buzz was palpable. "Customers began to stop by, asking when we were scheduled to open. We were excited about the response we were already receiving," they noted. The strong anticipation and support from the community only grew as construction continued.
Finding the Right Leadership
Knowing the importance of finding a manager who could truly bring their vision to life, the team started searching for someone with both experience and a warm personality. "We knew that our next step was to find a manager, someone who knew the business and had a friendly personality," they shared.
The search led them to Mariam De Leon, a well-known figure in the local restaurant scene. "We were given Mariam De Leon's name and knew she would be the perfect fit," they recalled. Mariam’s extensive background, including time spent running her own taco shop, made her an ideal candidate. "She has worked for other local restaurants as well as having her own taco shop for a short time. In knowing the business, we were able to hire the perfect team. Mariam has been nothing but successful with Taco Loco," they said.
A Grand Opening for the Books
When Taco Loco finally opened its doors, the community's response was overwhelming. "The opening weekend, we had an overwhelming response from the community. It was a fast-paced two days!" they exclaimed. The excitement was so high that they found themselves turning away customers after running out of food. "We had to turn customers away because we ran out of food. We couldn't believe it," the team shared. Despite this initial hurdle, the popularity of Taco Loco has only continued to grow, with new customers discovering the shop every day.
A Menu Crafted with Care
The team behind Taco Loco knew exactly what was missing from the local dining scene and set out to fill that gap. "Our goal was to offer what was missing! Which was burritos, bowls, and plates," they explained. Their menu features a variety of breakfast and lunch options, including hearty burritos, perfectly portioned bowls, and plates complete with rice, beans, and tortillas.
"The burritos are filling, the plates come with rice, beans, and a tortilla, and the bowls are just the right size," they said, highlighting the variety and quality of their offerings. The menu also includes daily specials and traditional menudo available on Saturdays and Sundays, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences.
An Invitation to the Community
As Taco Loco celebrates its first month in business, the team is eager to welcome even more customers. "We would like to invite anyone who hasn't had the chance to try Taco Loco to come on out!" they announced. The shop offers both dine-in and takeout options, providing a convenient way for everyone to enjoy their flavorful offerings. "You can take it to go or come in and sit to enjoy your breakfast or lunch," they added.
With operating hours from Tuesday to Sunday, 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Taco Loco is the perfect stop for an early morning meal or a satisfying lunch.
