On Monday, October 28th, at the Early Town Center Park, Pro Lake Management LLC Biologist Steven Bardin and Major League Fishing (MLF) Co-Founder Gary Klein presented two American Feeder H 125 Fish and Game Feeders as donations. These contributions, provided through Minn Kota Habitat Restoration projects with support from Moss Back Fish Habitat and American Feeder, aim to enhance local fish populations and support sustainable fishing practices in the community. MLF is dedicated to making a positive impact on local ecosystems and often collaborates with communities to implement conservation-focused projects. The addition of these fish feeders will help boost fish growth and ensure a thriving aquatic eco system, benefiting both recreational anglers and the overall health of local waters. This partnership is another example of how organizations like MLF work to strengthen community engagement with conservation efforts, promoting sustainability and enriching local resources for future generations.
Representing the City of Early in receiving the generous donation were Mayor Robert Mangrum, Charles Matlock, Council Member, Larry McConn, Assistant City Administrator, Brenda Kilgo, City Secretary, Nathan Land, Public Works Director, Denise Hudson-Brian, Tourism Director, and CVB Marketing Assistant Amy Constancia. Mayor Mangrum extended heartfelt thanks to both Steven and Gary, not only for their generous contribution but also for their active role in bringing the Major League Fishing (MLF) General Tire Tournament to Early. Mr. McConn expressed deep appreciation on behalf of future lake users, recognizing the donation of feeders and the impactful efforts of Pro Lake Management and the Inland Fisheries Division of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department in establishing and sustaining Town Center Lake as a valuable community resource.
Steven Bardin stated “American Feeder donated two fish feeders to the Early Town Center Community Lake, made of aluminum and throws food 40 feet into the water and will be mounted on the docks or shoreline at the Early Lake to provide food to the Channel Catfish, Bluegill Sunfish, and Rainbow Trout. Major League Fishing would like to thank the City of Early for hosting the Team Series, Moss Back Fish Habitat for providing fish habitat, and American Feeders for providing the two feeders for the Early Town Center Community Lake”
